Ireland is one of the largest islands in Europe. The island is divided into the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Ireland has a very pleasant weather, and the lush greenery all over the country results from the Oceanic climate. The low lying mountains add to the scenic beauty, further beautified with the azure blue sea, and the coastline. The vegetation and the beauty of the country is the reason for its significant influence in the field of European Literature. Along-with this Ireland also has its contribution in the field of music and drama.

Reaching and travelling the country is now very easy with the much improved connections with almost all major European cities. Moreover the warm and friendly people, makes a visit to Ireland an experience of a lifetime. Irish hospitality is simply superb.

Shannon
The Shannon Airport itself is a beautiful building and on exiting the building, the eyes are comforted with the lush greenery of the surrounding. Take a deep breath of the fresh air, and you are in the land of “Shamrock”.
Cliffs of Moher
After a rest, enjoy the sunrise with the serenity, and prepare yourself for a day. The Cliffs of Moher offers a fantastic view of the Atlantic. The sea hitting the shores and forming pristine white foams against a long limestone wall is just a mesmerizing site. The Burren and Poulnabrone Dolmen`s limestone hills are a must watch, along-with a Neolithic burial place which is marked by a huge stone monument. The way is dotted with traditional and picturesque Irish villages.
Connemara
The misty hills and the exquisite lakes provide a wonderful sight of Connemara. A cruise through the Killary Harbor is a date with history and much more. The hills steeped with potato fields, the mussel and salmon farms are a treat to watch. Also on the way are magnificent locations where many a movies have been shot.
Belleek and the Museum of Country Life
The Castle bar houses The Museum of Country Life, which displays a collection of domestic goods, used by people from different ages, and is a wonderful place to learn history. The Knock Shrine church is a must see for its splendor in every possible way. The grave of W.B. Yeats at Sligo County is a pilgrimage for the literature buffs. Belleek Pottery factory is a place to see the fine craftsmen decorate the fine china with their delicate art. The Blue Stack Mountains provide a wonderful backdrop while you travel to the next stop, and might make you recite some very romantic poems.
The Glenveagh Castle
The Glenveagh Castle has a bitter sweet history, but the architectural extravaganza is worth a tour. Located in the heart of Donegal, it houses an exclusive garden. The Atlantic Drive is a wonderful place to walk, and feel like a king with all the splendor and beauty all around.
The Giants Causeway and Derry
The St. Columbus Cathedral, the medieval city walls and the Diamond are places to see. There are some magnificent and brilliant castles, picturesque villages on the way. The volcanic remains that resulted in enormous hexagonal columns are a place to explore, aptly named as the Giant`s causeway. The “Nine Glens of Antrim” route is a visual treat, and a road worth driving miles on end.
Belfast
The city of Belfast is the house of Down Cathedral, the burial place of St. Patrick. Also the city has many breathtaking monuments to visit. Also the shipyard that built the Titanic is in the city and has become a major tourist attraction- The Harland & Wolff shipyard. Many pubs and restaurants in Belfast offers traditional dance shows and step dancing, which are worth a visit.
Dublin
Dublin is a city decorated with exquisite Georgian squares, colorful doorways and beautiful greens. The Genera post office is a historical landmark, where the rebellion of 1916 started. The Trinity College houses the Book of Kells manuscript. The city bus tour in an open-top bus is a fun thing to do. Dublin also houses some great places to enjoy live Irish traditional songs, and intricate step dancing.
The land of Shamrock is like those three leaf white clover known as the three dimensions of beauty. The glorious and rich past, the beautiful landscape and natural beauty, and the rich culture are the three facets of this elegant country. But the route from Shannon to Dublin is worth more than one stop. All these places need more than a day to explore and get a feel of the place.
